Getting the most out of your Brand Shoot

You’ve got your new Brand images in your ‘hands’ and now what? How do you make sure you’re using them effectively?

Here are my TOP TIPS to make sure your brand photos don’t just sit in a folder on your desktop, but how you can use every single one of them to differentiate yourself from your competition and attract the perfect clients for you. Let’s get started!

Update your Socials
Updating your social profile photos is a great way to catch your audience’s attention, especially if you’ve just had your logo up there so far. Freshen up your profile and introduce yourself and set yourself up to become a more memorable brand.

Blog Posts

Create a blog post, showcasing your favourites from your shoot, talk about your experience or what you learnt during the process. A great way to show insight and behind the scenes of your business.

Newsletter

Share your blog post in a newsletter! Another way to re-use some content and introduce your customers to you/your team.

Pinterest Graphics

Pinterest is an amazing way of driving sales and traffic to your website. High-quality imagery gets clicks, and now you’re armed with amazing new photos, you have no excuses!

Social Posts

An obvious one, and perhaps one of the reasons you booked a shoot in the first place. Start introducing yourself and weaving your new photos onto your social platforms. This can be in posts, stories and reels. I like to add an image of myself every 6-9 posts, to say ‘hello’ to any new followers and remind people of the face behind the business. Do whatever feels best to you, but don’t overthink it! Even if it feels uncomfortable at first, I guarantee your customers will love seeing you/your team and it helps to build the ‘know/like/trust’ factor.

You can use the images as a background on your stories, with text over the top or cropping in to vary and repurpose your posts.

Don’t be afraid to mix your new brand photos in with your own ‘less polished’ photos. People love to see a mix of both, so find the balance and allow your followers to get to know you on a deeper level.

Pricing Guides

Pricing guides are a great way to introduce yourself to a potential client. Adding an image of yourself instantly adds a layer of reassurance, helping you to gain trust from the get-go.

Email Signature

Adding a welcoming image of yourself at the end of an email can have a significant impact. It makes it much easier to build a relationship with you over what is traditionally a faceless form of communication.

Elevate your Website

Again, another obvious one, but your website is one of the first experiences potential clients have with your brand. Update your website with your new brand images (making sure to get rid of any stock photos that don’t do your brand justice). Utilising your new brand photos on your website is one of the most effective ways to create an instant connection with website visitors, both old and new. Keep it up to date with recent imagery, of you and your offerings, update the ‘About Me/Us’ page and your contact page. There are so many ways to infuse a personal connection.

There are so many ways in which you can use your images. Don’t be afraid to re-use the same photos, as the more you use your images, the more trust you build with your customers as they become familiar with you. Show consistency in the use of your high-quality brand photography and this will translate to the product or service you offer.

Find what works for you, step out of your comfort zone and let your personality shine through your new brand imagery!
